The Omega-3 Advantage
Chia seeds are the richest plant-based source of ALA (alpha-linolenic acid) Omega-3. While ALA isn't as bioavailable as the EPA and DHA found in fish, it still plays a crucial role in reducing inflammation and supporting cardiovascular health.
How to Eat Chia Seeds
Chia pudding — Mix 3 tbsp chia seeds with 1 cup milk, refrigerate overnight. Add fruit and honey.
Smoothie boost — Add 1 tbsp to any smoothie. They swell and thicken naturally.
Egg replacement — Mix 1 tbsp chia + 3 tbsp water, wait 5 minutes. Use as an egg replacement in baking.
Sprinkle on anything — On yogurt, oats, salads, or rice. The flavour is neutral.
Water Absorption
Chia seeds absorb up to 12x their weight in water when soaked. This gel-like expansion in the stomach is what makes them so satiating — and why they help with hydration during exercise.
Our Organic Chia Seeds
